1. By Car:From the roundabout at the top of Chubb Hill turn into Back St Hilda’s Terrace, towards St John Ambulance Hall, and drive down, looking for a parking place (3 hours on a disc). If no places are available, turn right at the bottom into Skinner Street (one way) and the church is directly opposite. The parking places nearest the church are only one hour so not quite long anough for a church service (same on Skinner St). Turn right up St Hilda’s Terrace and look for a parking place in the three-hour section, a bit further up. If there are no spaces, drive down Back St Hilda’s Terrace again and park in the car park near the bottom on the left (marked on the map) 2. By bus: The nearest bus stop is on St Hilda’s Terrace, just uphill from the church on the opposite side. Buses 95 and 96 stop here, running from Sleights via Briggswath, Ruswarp, Ruswarp Lane, Stakesby Rd, Runswick Avenue, Byland Rd, Rievaulx Rd and down St Hilda’s Terrace. The bus stops near the roundabout at the top of Chubb Hill are served by the X4 running from Middlesbrough to the bus station; from here it is a 5-minute walk downhill (uphill on way back!).
3. On foot: As shown on the map, the church is accessed from St Hilda’s Terrace, Skinner St or Flowergate.
