Who are we?The United Reformed Church began as a union of Congregational and Presbyterian Churches in England in 1972.
Where are we?
Our Church is situated at the top of Flowergate in Whitby, North Yorkshire. For details and a map, see the Location page.
Are we a welcoming Church?
We certainly try to be and by offering a cup of tea or coffee after the Sunday Morning Service we hope to get to know you better, especially if you are a visitor to Whitby; we call ourselves "The Holiday Church". You are most welcome to join us for worship or in any of our activities. If you are one of those who don't much care for the regular Sunday morning service then why not come along to one of our Cafe Church services and enjoy a cup of coffee during worship in a more informal setting.
Do we have contact with other Whitby Churches?
Our Elders and members play an active part in “Churches Together” when they organise joint Services or Activities, such as the Good Friday Walk of Witness, and the Town Carol Service.
Leadership
Through our Elders and members we have a strong team giving capable professional and lay involvement in all aspects of our church life.
